I’m an artist and a designer. My ambition is to have near or all the skills and abilities to bring my creativity to any project and do an exceptional job. The goal is to be a one-stop shop for painting, drawing, illustration, and graphic and web design.

Your art is weird. Make it weirder.

Portfolios

Painting

My primary creative outlet. I prefer to work with acrylic on canvas. Most pieces include the human figure.

Drawing/Illustration

My secondary creative outlet. Sketching is the starting point of all artworks. I like working with pencil and charcoal most.

Web Design

My bread and butter. I work as a UI designer, building websites in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and content management systems (CMS).

Graphic Design

Both digital and print. Print or web graphics with a sleek look of story telling colors, images, and typography.

Video/Animation

Video and sound editing with special effects added post-production. Worked with Flash and After Effects animation. Enjoy doing stop motion animation.

Photography

Mostly do photo editing in Photoshop for web and graphics. Will soon begin my own professional photography.

Artist Statement

One of the most influential artists in my life told, “Anything you think about art is correct, if you can defend it.”

That’s about right. I prefer to leave my artwork open to the viewers’ interpretation. Allow them to imagine their own story from what they see. Having more context and understanding of what drives an artist to create is a useful insight when deriving meaning from the work.

The Blog: Pages to be Burned

An artist’s mind is a fascinating place… just don’t ask what’s in it. No, the goal of actually dedicating myself to writing a monthly blog is about 3 fold.

  1. Self-discipline.
  2. Learning more.
  3. Sharing and engaging with others.

I feel like calling the blog by this title because one, it does sound at least a little edgy and two,  let’s face it, where there is art there is controversy and disagreement. This often leads to at least the desire for censorship, sometimes to extremes. However, my aim with my blog is to just have a conversation about art, design, and creativity, so we all learn something.
